and increases the number of women committed to philanthropy in
order to strengthen community and demonstrate the impact that
can result from informed, focused grantmaking.
Vision
Washington Women's Foundation will change the course
of women's philanthropy by:
| |
• |
Producing
locally and nationally recognized leaders in philanthropy |
| |
• |
Increasing
the visibility and influence of major philanthropic investments
by women |
| |
• |
Inspiring
widespread replication of its innovative approach to educating
philanthropists and making grants |
Values
Equality, impact, education, collaboration, leadership,
and connection
Benefits of Membership
WWF benefits its members as it benefits the
community. It gives members the opportunity to:
| |
• |
Learn
about the community (issues, people and organizations) and
how to give wisely |
| |
• |
Be
a force for change through sound social investing |
| |
• |
Get
to know women from many walks of life who share core values |
| |
• |
Be
an equal with all members, regardless of background ('one
woman, one vote') |
| |
• |
Tailor
involvement to personal circumstances and priorities ('do
a little, do a lot') |
