About Us

Washington Women's Foundation began in 1995 when 116 women pooled their financial and intellectual resources to support and strengthen our community. Today, our membership has grown to include nearly 500 women and our annual grant-making totals some $1 million. Over the past 13 years, members of the Foundation together have invested nearly $9 million in our community through some 54 large pooled grants and some 3,700 individual grants, benefiting over 860 nonprofit organizations.
